"Through-the hatch" was one of the early projects for Square-Edge, and, being completely hand-made to order using Swiss Pear veneer, meant that attention to detail regarding the book-matching was of prime consideration.


Swiss Pear, as a tree, is a member of the rose family and is mainly grown in Europe and Western Asia, with much of it coming from Germany, Switzerland and France.


The project required kitchen units to "bleed-through" from the dining-room serving hatch into the kitchen itself.


All joinery (including the steamed-curve front) was hand-built by us in our workshop, finished and polished prior to delivery for installation and finished off with Italian granite.
